inerva and Company, CPAs (the Firm) conducted a 2-day in-house seminar last September 24 to 25, 2013 for all its associates on "US Taxation" with Mr. Oscar Tesoro - or "Mr. T" as he is fondly called - being the seminar facilitator. Mr. T is the Managing Director/CEO of the Firm's correspondent in the US - ORT Consulting Group, LTD. His consulting company is based in Chicago, Illinois, USA and it specializes in US tax services like the individual/business taxes, estate, fiduciary, and others.
The 2-day training seminar was conducted as part of the firm's annual retooling program for all its associates for the purpose of maintaining the desired competence of the Firm. With this, the Firm is now ready to handle any US tax requirements of US expats or retirees who are currently based in the Philippines and those migrated Filipinos who are already US citizens staying for good in the US. The said seminar discussed mainly on how to prepare US taxes using the IRS forms, the relevant information to be obtained, and how to handle/treat these information.
